Lyndon completed his undergraduate chiropractic education in Melbourne at Phillip Institute of Technology (which became RMIT University) in 1982 where he initially studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and human biology, along with physiology and anatomy. During the five year degree, other units included X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the University Public Clinic.
Over the last 25 years, Lyndon has practised in a variety of settings in WA and NSW, from large multipractitioner, multidisciplinary clinics, to small country practices. At present he supervises fifth year students in the Murdoch University programme in their external clinic placements at the Ottey Community Centre and Palmerston Farm. “This is my way of giving back to this wonderful profession” he explains. “Besides, I love teaching what I know to the new generation!” Believing one never stops learning, he is currently completing a Masters degree at UWA in Public Health with the aim of engaging in ongoing research into why and how chiropractic works.
“Even today, I still see the concerns and apprehension people have when they go to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. I believe patients appreciate that.”
Lyndon is married to Deisy and between them they have five children, Beau, Abbie, Jared, Michelle and Jade-Leigh.
